In the hustle to get the biggest refund or "hook-up," too many people fall into the trap of shady tax preparers. Listen — if your tax pro is promising huge refunds with no questions asked, you may be walking straight into a financial setup.

Red flags to watch out for:
🚩 They refuse to sign your return or don’t give you a copy.
🚩 They base your fee on the size of your refund.
🚩 They ask you to lie about income, dependents, or expenses.
🚩 They use their own bank account to deposit your refund first.
Real talk: If they can’t back up their work with proper documentation and ethics, it’s not worth the risk. You could end up paying back thousands to the IRS — with penalties, interest, and drama you didn’t sign up for.
Protect your wealth by doing this:
✅ Work with licensed professionals (PTIN, EFIN, etc.)
✅ Ask questions. If they get defensive, that’s a clue.
✅ Double check all your numbers before you sign.
✅ Trust your gut — if something feels off, it probably is.
Reminder from Wealth Builders Connect: We believe in building wealth the right way — with integrity, education, and protection. Don't let desperation or fast money mindset put your future at risk. Knowledge is power, and your signature is your accountability.
🛡️ Don’t play with the IRS. Play smart with your strategy.
